TEACHING
Rick received his PhD in Theatre Theory, History & Directing Styles from UCLA and is the author of Charles Ludlam and the Ridiculous Theatrical Company. He is Professor Emeritus at Southwestern University where he was Chair/Artistic Director of the Theatre Department at Southwestern University for 15 years and now teaches all levels of acting at The Actor’s School and Zach Theatre.
Truth for the actor must be that of the event in which he or she is involved. An actor is not required to present truth as he or she feels it, but rather to motivate action truthfully in terms of the demands of the characters represented in a specific set of imaginary circumstance.
